Each community circumstance is unique. The time Community Systems Group spends working beside our community partners to understand their local context and craft local solutions to local problems is the most important investment of our time.

Involving community members in efforts to improve health and wellness is challenging.

Often, communities lack the local data necessary to fully understand local problems. Existing data is statewide or for whole counties when the funding communities receive is to work with a specific town, neighborhood or population. As a result, community coalitions and non-profits are held accountable to unfair standards or to data far removed from their actual work. This makes communicating how they will make a difference difficult, especially to a wide variety of local stakeholders.

Real evaluation that provides information that can help communities to improve their work, coordinate with multiple partners, be accountable to multiple funders and celebrate progress along the way can be difficult to create and maintain. Finally, communities face real challenges to sustaining their good work long enough to attain their health and justice goals.

CSG has specific experience and tools for dealing with these and other common issues faced by communities as they work to improve health and wellness.
Do you find it difficult to clearly describe the problems in your community and how you intend to make a difference?

Are you struggling to create needed change in the programs, policies and practices of your community or to start or adapt needed new programs?

Is your organization able to evaluate your work as it happens and to connect the results of your efforts to the outcomes you are trying to affect?

Are you challenged to sustain the important work of your organization in your community?
